About the role

We have an outstanding new opportunity for a Manager, Marketing & Corporate Communications to manage and deliver communications, content marketing and employee communications to raise the profile of Export Finance Australia both internally and externally. This is a highly visible role that will play a key role in creating awareness and engagement which ultimately contributes to lead generation and deal delivery.

Reporting to the Director, Marketing, you will be a key member of a high performing team that includes Corporate Affairs, External Relations and Marketing.

Key roles and responsibilities

This role will focus primarily on the development and ongoing management of a corporate communications and content marketing strategy that complements the broader marketing strategy for the business. The role will also support a centralised employee communications strategy across the organisation.


  • Manage the development and delivery of high-profile corporate communications including the delivery of Export Finance Australia’s Annual Report, Corporate Plan and development and maintenance of all corporate collateral

  • Develop and write content and communications including articles, cases studies, email marketing campaigns, and other collateral for a wide range of channels

  • Develop and deliver a content and communications plan that meets the needs of various business segments and industry verticals to align with the marketing plan and business objectives

  • Partner with the External Relations team to develop a public relations program to identify topics and case studies that can be used to profile and promote Export Finance Australia through external media channels

  • Deliver a centralised employee communications program for the organisation that promotes engagement and business results

Content Marketing

  • Produces and proofs high quality, accurate, timely and effective marketing content

  • Develops and maintains an agreed corporate writing style guide that is broadly accepted and promoted throughout the organisation

  • Act as custodian of Export Finance Australia’s brand tone of voice, ensuring that all communications adhere to style guidelines, are consistent and appropriate for the channel and target audience

  • Manages and maintains brand assets including sourcing and managing photography, image library and maintaining brand guidelines

  • Work collaboratively with Marketing and Business Development to identify compelling content themes and tactics

About you

We are looking for a strategic and creative thinker with strong commercial and relationship building experience, ideally within the banking and finance industry. You will also bring a combination of the following skills, qualities and experience to our team:

  • Significant corporate communications experience (with outstanding writing skills)

  • At least 7 years of experience in a marketing communications role gained within the banking and finance industry

  • Degree qualification in communications, marketing or a related field

  • Strong experience working with vendors including media and content agencies

  • Working knowledge of marketing automation systems (Marketo is preferred)

  • A strong understanding of audience research and analytics

  • Experience in driving cross organisational collaboration to achieve successful outcomes

  • Strong commercial awareness with a good understanding of a global business environment as it relates to Export Finance Australia’s business and clients

  • Ability to connect and develop the strategy to an operational level and drive measurable marketing and business outcomes

  • Very strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior management

  • Strong interpersonal communication and liaison skills to build trust and engagement

  • Excellent time management and organisation skills, able to manage multiple competing demands and deadlines
