Need

While Genix’s bank is supportive of this expansion, it was unable to provide the finance needed by Genix to cover the costs for the launch of PROTRACK, its web-based platform that manages the end-to-end lifecycle of professional development, in the Indian market.

Solution

We were able to help Genix with an Export Contract Loan of AU$100,000, allowing Genix to deliver its education platform, PROTRACK, to a leading provider of vocational education in India, and to continue on its path to export success.

Genix Ventures is a Melbourne-based provider of professional services and software solutions.

Established in 2006, Genix provides intelligent process automation solutions to government agencies and corporate customers, and is one of the largest providers of online examination systems in Australia.

In the early 2000’s, Genix successfully delivered its online platforms into the United States for a number of well-known global firms within the financial services sector. More recently, its focus has been on opportunities in the Asia Pacific and in India.

“Export Finance Australia is all about helping Australian small business exporters. We’re pleased to be able to help Genix row its exports into new international markets.”

A new opportunity

With India being a primary target market, Genix began to explore partnering arrangements for the launch of PROTRACK, its web-based platform that manages the end-to-end lifecycle of professional development, in the Indian market.

Genix was engaged to deliver its examination management and learning management modules to a leading provider of vocational education in India. The business identified an associated opportunity to deliver Australian vocational education content to the skills training sector in India. This is being delivered in partnership with Australian education providers.

While Genix’s bank is supportive of this expansion, it was unable to provide the finance needed by Genix to cover the costs of the infrastructure and training due to a lack of additional security.

Having first made contact with Export Finance Australia in 2009, Genix was aware of Export Finance Australia’s ability to help Australian small businesses with export engagements.
