This role has responsibility for applying analytics to important business problems to help Export Finance Australia meet business objectives. This role will support the Director of Insights and Analytics in analysing research and data and providing valuable business intelligence to optimise decision making and optimise behaviour.
A key focus for the role is delivering ongoing reporting and analysis for key internal and external stakeholders and ensuring that appropriate processes are in place to improve data quality.

About you
- Accountable for successful roll-out of new reporting suites for stakeholders across the enterprise leveraging data in new CRM and Origination platform.
- Responsible for the technical development of reports, support project planning and stakeholder engagement required for successful roll-out.
- Responsible for timely and accurate BAU SME reporting, including presenting results to and identifying insights for SME business partner.
- First point of contact for ad-hoc requests for analytics support from business partners including SME, marketing, operational risk and international and commonwealth engagement functions.
- Contribute to the development of EFA’s data strategy to help maximise business value from data.
- Ownership of data preparation for EFA responses to requests from other Export Credit Agencies.
- Support the development and execution of Export Finance Australia’s business intelligence, analytics program to transform research and data into actionable insights.
- Analyse data sets using statistical techniques to identify patterns, correlations, alternative perspectives, and possible solutions.
- Provide descriptive, diagnostic, predictive analysis and forecasting as required.
- Provide input to measurement frameworks that help define appropriate business KPIs.
- Support a data and analytics culture and promote data-driven decision making across the business, clearly showing the link between data integrity and business outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Tertiary qualification in Analytics, Business, Computer Science or equivalent.
- 3-5 years’ experience in data and analytics either in an analyst or business intelligence role.
- Experience in a B2B environment ideally within the finance industry.
- Experience working in a federal government agency would be desirable.
- Graduates who can demonstrate commensurate skills or experience will be considered.
Skills
- Demonstrated commercial acumen in identifying and analysing information from a range of sources to show the link between data and insights.
- Knowledgeable in key metric identification for driving and maintaining healthy business performance.
- Understanding of relational databases and fluent in database management, data visualisation and preparing impactful and insightful reporting.
- Experience working with analytics and statistical tools Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, or programming languages R, Python, SQL
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools, preferably Marketo.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
