The Senior Manager, Risk and Compliance plays a pivotal role in embedding a best-practice risk and compliance management framework within EFA. This position focuses on effective business partnering and educating employees on the value of a robust approach to risk and compliance, fostering a strong risk-aware culture across the organisation. The role is dynamic and requires broad engagement with compliance matters, as well as regular interaction with senior management and multiple business divisions.

About you
- Provide advice on compliance implications for transactions, new products, projects and processes.
- Conduct due diligence and deliver compliance advice on transactions (e.g., equity investments, funds, on-lending).
- Partner with business stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, government policies, and internal policies.
- Develop and update risk and compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Identify and manage potential conflicts of interest related to employees or transactions, including escalation to senior management.
- Support and train first-line business teams to maintain effective risk and compliance processes.
- Lead investigations into compliance issues and incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
- Monitor regulatory trends, assess emerging risks, and prepare reports for senior stakeholders.
- Maintain Risk & Compliance registers (e.g., conflicts of interest, complaints, gifts & benefits).
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory environments.
- Proven experience in business compliance or compliance advisory within investment banking, corporate finance, or capital markets.
- Strong working knowledge of capital markets, financial services laws, regulatory frameworks, and related products.
- Deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and its implications for EFA.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
